
NEW MILFORD, CT --- The town is observing National Ride Your Bike to Work Day with its third annual event this Friday, May 18, with three options for pedal-pushers.
The longest ride will be starting promptly from the Public Works building on Young's Field Road at 7:30 a.m. The group will be gathering at 7:15 a.m. when they will be joined by Tom O’Brien, chairman of the town’s bike and trail committee.
Mayor Pete Bass will join the convoy at his home. It's a half-hour for bicyclists from the mayor's house to Town Hall. If you would like to join the group just for this last leg of the trip, contact Tom O'Brien at tomob98@gmail.com.

For those who wish to walk or do a shorter ride, an easier trek is being planned by Town Engineer Daniel Stanton to start from Young's Field at 8:30 am. You will be greeted in front of Town Hall by representatives of HARTransit and New Milford River Trail Association.
