New Milford Grows Program For Special Olympic Athletes
The program is designed for athletes with and without disabilities to compete in a variety of athletic programs.

NEW MILFORD, CT - Unified Sports, a program of Special Olympics, is expanding throughout New Milford public schools. The program is designed to have athletes with and without disabilities play on sports teams, such as soccer, basketball, track and field, and bowling. New Milford High School Athletic Director Keith Lipinsky said in a school newsletter, “The parents have been so appreciative of their children getting the opportunity to compete in different activities and the positive experiences they have had attending events. The atmosphere is so positive and so much fun for the participants."
