New Milford Home Invasion Suspect Offered Plea Deal
Michael Saunders broke into his elderly neighbors' home last summer and attacked them with a bat.

NEW MILFORD, CT --- Michael Saunders, a New Milford man facing various felony charges, including home invasion, second-degree assault and first-degree burglary in connection to a break-in to his neighbor's home last June, has been offered a plea deal by prosecutors, the News-Times is reporting.
Saunders, 34, allegedly broke through his neighbors back door and assaulted the elderly occupants in the house with a baseball bat.
Saunders is due back in the Torringon Superior Court on April 24. The details of the deal have not been released, but the News-Times is reporting that some time in prison appears to be part of the negotiations.
