New Milford Man Charged in Domestic Violence Disturbance in Milford
The incident began at Howard Johnson's Hotel and spread to a nearby business, Milford police said.

MILFORD, CT - Two people including a city resident are accused of engaging in a physical domestic violence disturbance which began in a hotel parking lot and moved to a nearby business, police said.
On Wednesday, police responded to the Howard Johnson’s Hotel at 1052 Boston Post Road on a report of a physical domestic violence incident, which had moved to the parking lot of Walgreens, 1083 Boston Post Road, police said.
Investigation led to the arrest of Michael Chulkovs, 22, of Brookside Trail in New Milford and Ashley Moomau, 22, of Boston Post Road, who are accused of engaging in a physical altercation with each other following a verbal argument outside of their hotel room, police said.

They are both charged with second-degree breach of peace and third-degree assault, while Moomau is also charged with violation of a protective order, and Chulkovs is also charged with interfering with an arrest and second-degree strangulation.
He was held on a $5,000 bond.
