New Milford PD Makes Rapid Arrests for DUI

Police charged a Brookfield woman and Danbury man for DUI early Friday.

NEW MILFORD, CT — Police arrested a Brookfield woman and Danbury man for DUI -- within minutes of each other.

The arrests were made early Friday morning while New Milford Police Officers were conducting traffic enforcement on Danbury Road.

"Of note is that both arrests were made within a 10-minute period and occurred within less than 1,000 feet of each other," the PD wrote on its Facebook page, commending arresting Officers McIntyre, Kabasakalian and April "for doing their part to keep our roads safe for everyone."

Arrested were Hannah Furniss, 27, of Brookfield, and Frederick Foster, 39, of Danbury.

Furniss was charged with DUI and failure to illuminate her rear plate. Bond was set at $500.

Foster was arrested for DUI and speeding. Bond was set at $1,000.

Both were given Dec. 21 as their court date.
