New Milford To Present 2019 Leonardo DaVinci Awards

The award is presented to an individual or individuals who exemplify the ideals of community service and arts.

NEW MILFORD, CT - From Town of New Milford: The 2019 DaVinci Awards presentation will be Saturday April 13, 2019 at 1:00 at the New Milford Historical Society & Museum at 6 Aspetuck Avenue. The award, created by the late Peter “Flag Man” Orenski, a New Milford businessman and internationally renowned vexillologist, in 2001, is presented to an individual or individuals who exemplify the ideals of community service and arts. This year, Mayor Bass along with Katy Francis and Bob Coppola will present the Leonardo DaVinci Awards to Rob Beebe and Lisa Agee.

Lisa Agee has been a resident of New Milford for the past 25 years. She and her husband began
Goatboy Soaps in 2001,creating hand-crafted natural soaps from goat’s milk. Goatboy began
with Lisa and husband Rick’s search for safe products for their severely allergic son. Goatboy
Soap is a very generous donor and supporter of local nonprofits. Lisa has been involved in New
Milford PTO, Boy Scouts, 4-H, Donate Life, Matthew’s Heart of Hope and Julia’s Wings.

Rob Beebe has been heavily involved in the New Milford Youth Baseball and Softball leagues over the past 10 years. Rob, with the help of league volunteers, brought a Regional Softball Tournament to New Milford. The tournament was the largest ever hosted and considered the best event and venue by players and referees. Rob serves as President of the New Milford Youth Baseball and Softball Association, Vice President of the 184-game Summer League, State Commissioner of Babe Ruth Softball and served on the New Milford Athletic and Recreational Fields Sub-Committee.
