New Milford State Rep Seeks 2nd Term

Bill Buckbee has announced he will be seeking a second term as state representative for the 67th House District.

NEW MILFORD, CT -- Bill Buckbee has announced he will be seeking a second term as state representative for the 67th House District, is comprised entirely of New Milford. He was endorsed Tuesday at the New Milford Republican party convention.

“Serving the people of New Milford continues to be a great honor,” Buckbee said. “I’m proud of what I have accomplished through my First term, but there is more to be done and I am looking forward to returning to Hartford and working on our behalf.”

Buckbee pledged to "continue to challenge the status quo tax and spend policies that are putting us in perpetual financial crisis and focus on a streamlined delivery of state services.”

Earlier this year, in partnership with the New Milford Youth Agency, Buckbee hosted an “anti-bullying” forum. He is also a member of the School Safety Working Group.

In November, Buckbee will be opposed by Democrat Tom O’Brien.
