New Milford Will Be More Selective Granting Funds to Non-Profits
A new process removes any subjectivity or politics; all of the grants are awarded based on available money and the organization's record.

NEW MILFORD, CT —The town will be a bit more selective when awarding money to non-profit organizations, The News Times has reported.
A newly-instituted formal application and selection process will be part of the gauntlet a 501 (c)(3) must run before it gets any financial grant from the local government. The process is modeled upon the methods used by the United Way.
The new process removes any subjectivity or politics; all of the grants are awarded based on available money and the organization’s performance.
