New Milford's Judge Martin Landgrebe Seeks Re-Election
He was endorsed Thursday night at the Republican convention.

NEW MILFORD, CT -- Housatonic Probate Judge Martin Landgrebe is seeking to serve his sixth term as Judge of Probate, a position he was first elected to in 1998. He was endorsed Thursday night at the Republican convention. The Housatonic Probate District, established in 2010, is comprised of the Towns of Bridgewater, Brookfield, New Fairfield, New Milford and Sherman, with the Court located in New Milford.
Landgrebe said in a statement released on social media that he “believes that my experience and knowledge are well suited to continue in this position. I have worked vigorously to make our court a model court. I strive to run my office efficiently yet offer an unparalleled degree of service with a hometown feel... My goal is to continue to make the probate process smooth and efficient.”
The Probate Court presides over the administration of estates, title to real and personal property, testamentary and living trusts; voluntary and involuntary conservatorships; guardianships for persons with intellectual and psychiatric disabilities; name changes; and children’s matters such as adoptions, termination of parental rights, custody, visitation, and guardianship rights.

Landgrebe is a graduate of New Milford High School, Western Connecticut State University and Ohio Northern School of Law.
