NFCAR “Takes to the Air” to build Habitat homes

Organized a fund-raising event

New Milford Realtor Don Fleming leveraged his love of flying to organize a fundraising event hosted by Northern Fairfield County Association of Realtors (NFCAR) at the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome to benefit Housatonic Habitat for Humanity.

The event saw Realtors from throughout Fairfield County participating at a day-long event to raise funds to build Habitat homes locally. “It is such a wonderful organization,” Fleming said, “we support its mission of building homes so those who would not qualify as a first-time homebuyer have an alternative way to stabilize their housing.”

At the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome, Realtors were treated to dramatic dog fights and aerial exhibitions as well as an up-close look at vintage planes, trucks, and cars. Back in New Milford, Fleming stopped by the latest Habitat home to present Board of Director’s President Kent Rohrer with a donation.
