Obituary: Anne Ercoli, 88, of Danbury, previously of New Milford

NEW MILFORD, CT -- Anne Ercoli, 88, of Danbury, previously of New Milford, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at home with her family at her side.

She was born March 21, 1930 in Staten Island, NY, daughter of the late Joseph and Irma (Coleman) Shwedo. She graduated from Good Council High School in White Plains, NY, in 1948. In January of 1950 in Elmsford, NY, she married the love of her life, Joseph Ercoli. Joseph predeceased Anne in 1987.

Mrs. Ercoli had lived in Hawthorne and Thornwood, NY, prior to moving to New Milford where she lived for the past twenty-five years and was a member of Our Lady of The Lake Church. She moved to The Gardens in Danbury just ten months ago. She is survived by her children: Joseph Ercoli and wife JoAnn of Charlestown, RI; Phyllis Alesio and husband Mark of Old Saybrook; Bill Ercoli of Stormville, NY; Edward Ercoli and wife Anne of New Fairfield; Stephen Ercoli and wife Vone of New Milford; Peter Ercoli and wife MarySue of St. Louis. MO. She also leaves 19 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday June 29, 2018 at Our Lady of The Lake Church in New Milford, at 10:00 a.m. followed by burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in White Plains, NY. Calling hours will be held on Thursday June 28, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge Street, New Milford.
