Obituary: Gil Radday, 74, of New Milford

Gil was well known for his involvement in all New Milford basketball organizations, as a coach, player, and the loudest voice in the stands.

NEW MILFORD, CT -- On June 29, 2018 Gil Radday, 74 of Timonium, MD, passed away peacefully. He was the beloved husband of Nancy; devoted father of Karl (Stephanie), Adam (Elizabeth), and Anne (Tom); loving grandfather of Nora, Anja, Jude, Téa, and Talia.

Gil and Nancy lived in New Milford for 28 years. Gil was very active in the community. He served as chairman of the board for the New Milford Youth Agency. He and Nancy were very active in St. Francis parish and then in the founding of Our Lady of the Lakes parish. Gil was well known for his involvement in all New Milford basketball organizations, as a coach, player, and the loudest voice in the stands. In addition to basketball, Gil had a passion for travel and giraffes. He will be fondly remembered for dedication to family and community, his tag sales and his silliness (especially with his grandchildren).

Friends may call at the Ruck Funeral Home in Towson, MD on Thursday July 5, from 7 to 9 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, Cockeysville, MD on Friday July 6 at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church for Parish Development, 100 Church Lane, Cockeysville, MD 21030.www.ruckfuneralhomes.com
