Obituary: Madeline D. Tremmel, 90, of Sherman

NEW MILFORD, CT --- Madeline D. Tremmel, of Sherman, died peacefully on Saturday, May 5, 2018 in New Milford. She was 90 years old.

Born on September 18, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY, she was daughter of Augustino and Santina (Giancola) Perna. In October 1953 at St. Pascal Bylon Church, Queens, NY she married the love of her life Joseph L. Tremmel.

Madeline is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Joseph, and her three children: Michael Tremmel (LuAnn) of New Milford, Theresa Schaffer (Stephen) of Bethel and Patricia Allen (Thomas) of New Milford. She had seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Monday May 14 at 10 a.m. at Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge Street, New Milford. A memorial visitation will be held following to the service ending at 12:00 p.m.. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers the family wishes that donations be made to Regional Hospice and Palliative Care Center for Comfort Care & Healing 30 Milestone Rd, Danbury, CT 06810.
