'Pay to Play,' Student Parking Fees, Reduced: School Board
The reduction is a result of a $50,000 error found in a spreadsheet formula.

NEW MILFORD, CT — School officials have announced that the fees students pay to play school sports and park at school have been reduced, the News Times is reporting.
"Pay to Play" will now be $75 per student per season with a $300 family cap, down from $125 per athlete per season with a $500 family cap. This is the first year New Milford has instituted pay to play fees
The student parking fee was dropped from $225 to $215. Last year the fee was set at $150.

The reductions came about when officials detected an error in a formula used the budget's spreadsheet, which caused the Board to reduce the schools budget by $50,000 more than was necessary.
