Pedestrian Killed In New Milford Hit-And-Run Crash: Police
A man was killed in a hit-and-run accident on Tuesday in New Milford, according to police.
NEW MILFORD, CT — A pedestrian was struck and killed in a hit-and-run accident in New Milford on Tuesday, according to a police Facebook post. The pedestrian was crossing Danbury Road in front of the Route 7 Travel Plaza at 5:11 p.m. when he was struck by a vehicle in the southbound lane.
The pedestrian, identified as Galo Rafael Guaman-Sarmiento, 61, of Danbury, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The vehicle that struck Guaman-Sarmiento fled the scene. Police believe the vehicle is a black sedan, possibly a Ford Fusion, with front driver's-side damage.
