Police Locate Vehicle Involved In New Milford Fatal Hit-And-Run
Police have located the vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash in New Milford last week.
NEW MILFORD, CT — Police have located the vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash in New Milford last week, according to a police Facebook post. A pedestrian, identified as Galo Rafael Guaman-Sarmiento, 61, of Danbury, was crossing Danbury Road in front of the Route 7 Travel Plaza at 5:11 p.m. Tuesday when he was struck by a vehicle in the southbound lane.
Guaman-Sarmiento was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
The vehicle that struck him fled the scene. Police believed at the time that the vehicle was a black sedan, possibly a Ford Fusion, with front driver's-side damage.
