Small Plane Crashes In Connecticut, 1 Person Seriously Injured
The plane crashed just before 5:30 p.m. Thursday, according to authorities.

NORTH CANAAN, CT — A small plane crashed around 5:30 p.m. Thursday and the lone occupant on board was taken to a hospital, according to reports including Fox 61.
Norfolk police spokesman Jon Barbagallo said on social media that the single engine plane crashed at 535 West Main St. off of the end of the grass runway at the North Canaan Airport.
A man was taken to Sharon Hospital. The plane landed in a "body of water," Fox 61 reports. The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection and Federal Aviation Agency are expected to respond and investigate what caused the plane crash.

NBC CT said the man suffered serious injuries in the crash.
North Canaan is a town of around 3,500 people in Litchfield County and it is adjacent to the Massachusetts border.
