Students Garner Brave Enough To Fail Scholarships

Eight scholarships in total were awarded.

NEW MILFORD, CT — Brave Enough To Fail, the New Milford based nonprofit student motivational program, along with the Kiwanis Club Foundation of Greater Danbury has given eight scholarships to local students from Danbury High School and Faith Preparatory in New Milford.

The scholarships in the amount of $1,000 were presented to Gillian Brown, Mikayla Hill, Bryan Lima, Sean Parkinson, Linda Thach, and Rachel Thomas, from Danbury High School. Two students from Faith Preparatory were presented with scholarships. $1,000 went to Caleb Egbert and Brianna Moylan received $500 .

Funding was made possible by a donation from Union Savings Bank of Danbury along with private donations.
Wayne Winsley, executive director of Brave Enough To Fail says his organization and the Kiwanis Club Foundation of Greater Danbury plan to expand their efforts over the next school year and award forty scholarships to students from eight area high schools, including Bethel, Brookfield, Danbury, New Milford, New Fairfield, Redding, and Ridgefield.
