Tree Falls on New Milford House, Causes Fire

NEW MILFORD, CT — Two people and their dogs escaped serious injuries late Tuesday when a tree fell on their house late Tuesday, The Greenwich Time has reported.

The tree dropped through electrical wires, and ignited, subsequently catching the single-story home on Route 7 near the Housatonic River, in New Milford, on fire. There was no storm during the time the tree fell, and no apparent cause for the drop. The tree did significant damage to the home’s attic but didn’t penetrate the ceiling.
