Woman Charged In Fatal Hit-And-Run Crash In New Milford: Police
A woman has been charged in connection with a fatal crash.
NEW MILFORD, CT — A woman has been charged for leaving the scene of a fatal crash, according to police. Maria-Angela Bosch was charged with evading responsibility.
The accident occurred Oct. 6. Bosh was driving on Route 7 in New Milford at 9:26 p.m. when a pedestrian, John Capodanno, 63, was attempting to cross from Taco Bell to Stop & Shop.
Capodanno was struck by a vehicle in the left northbound lane. The vehicle then left the scene, according to police. Capodanno was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

Officers followed a trail of vehicle fluids from the scene to a condominium complex, where they found Bosch's 2019 Chevrolet Traverse, which had heavy front-end damage, according to police.
Bosch was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Torrington Superior Court on April 5.
