$25,000 Scratch-Off Prize Won By Newtown Resident: CT Lottery
The winning ticket was purchased at the Big Y World Class Market in Newtown.
NEWTOWN, CT — A Newtown resident is $25,000 richer this week after she won a prize of that amount from one of the Connecticut Lottery's scratch-off games, officials announced.
Delilah Martinez Damato was the lucky winner of a Diamonds game, in which players try to match a "winning" number with one of the numbers from a list.
The $5 game has a top prize of $100,000; overall odds of winning are 1 in 3.95, according to the lottery.
