The Newtown Chamber is gearing up for the 2nd Annual Martini Tasting. Find out how to purchase tickets and become a sponsor!

The Newtown Chamber of Commerce presents the 2nd annual Martini Madness Tasting & Competition on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 from 6 to 10pm in the Gymnasium at Edmond Town Hall, 45 Main Street in Newtown.

Local restaurants and vendors will send their best mixologists to compete for the title of “Best Cocktail in Newtown.” Attendees will have the opportunity to taste a small sample of each cocktail and vote on their favorites. At the end of the night, the mixologist with the most votes will win a special prize and bragging rights for the best cocktail in Newtown. The full list of mixologists participating in this event will be announced soon.

In addition to the martini tasting, guests can enjoy snacking on hors d’oeuvres, a DJ and dance party, and participate in the silent auction. Those wishing to donate items for the silent auction can contact Alyssa Canfield at acanfield@jantris.com.

Participation is a great asset to the success of this event. Local professionals have the opportunity to showcase their business by becoming a Top Shelf Sponsor, or gain publicity with the Mixer Sponsorship Package. Many thanks to our current Mixer Sponsors: Caraluzzi’s, Bottle Stop Wine and Spirit Superstore, Edward Jones, and Town Players of Newtown. To become a sponsor of this event, contact Alyssa Canfield at acanfield@jantris.com or visit the Chamber website page, www.newtown-ct.com.

Tickets cost $25 for those participating in the tasting, and $10 for designated drivers. Everyone is welcome to attend. Ticket costs will increase at the door, so guests are encouraged to purchase them in advance. Tasting guests 21+ are invited to taste and vote on their favorite cocktails. Designated drivers are invited to take part in the festivities, but not the tasting. Attendees are encouraged to drink responsibly! Those wishing to purchase tickets can do so at www.newtown-ct.com.
