
NEWTOWN, CT — The missing Alabama girl believed to have traveled to Newtown has been found safe in Monroe, police are reporting.
On Nov. 30, the Newtown Police Department was contacted by the Arab Police Department in Arab, Alabama in regards to a missing 15 year old girl from that town. Lilly Faye Chapman who they believed traveled from Alabama on Nov. 29 to the Exit 9 area in Newtown, where they said she may have met with a 17-18 year old male.
Both Chapman and the male were found around 6 a.m. Monday in Monroe, outside a Big Y store in town. An employee of the store called police, concerned about why they were hanging out by the store. Monroe police suspected the duo might be involved in the missing person case, and contacted Newtown cops. The Newtown PD made contact with the pair at 7 a.m.

After the pair was identified, they were sent to a local hospital for evaluation.
