GRAMMY-Winning Artist To Appear At Newtown Music Festival

The Fairfield Hills Music Festival will feature 10 bands, food trucks and a meet-and-greet with the award-winning artist.

NEWTOWN, CT — A GRAMMY Award-winning artist is set to make a special appearance at an upcoming music festival in Newtown.

Five-time GRAMMY winner Aaron Neville will host a meet-and-greet and book signing at the Fairfield Hills Music Festival on May 16, according to event organizers.

Neville is scheduled to appear from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., where he will meet fans and sign copies of his memoir, "Tell It Like It Is."

The music festival is scheduled to run from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Fairfield Hills campus and will feature live music and food.

The festival will include two stages and 10 bands, according to the release.

Main stage performers include Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds, The Moonrise Cartel, The Whiskey Treaty Roadshow, Jake Kulak & The Modern Vandals and Bittersweet Descent.

The second stage lineup includes The Decker Bandits, Eddie Seville, Riley Cotton, D'Pew and The Flagpole Radio Band.

Guests will also have access to a beer garden and food trucks.

Organizers said proceeds from the festival will benefit Kevin’s Community Center, a nonprofit focused on community wellness, education and supporting students pursuing healthcare careers.
