NEWTOWN, CT — Newtown’s annual Earth Day Festival is set to return this weekend with a full day of activities for families and residents.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Newtown Middle School.
Organizers said the festival will feature live music throughout the day, along with food, vendors, demonstrations, crafts and other activities.
A birds of prey exhibition by Christine’s Critters is also planned, along with educational displays and a silent auction.
The event is designed to highlight Newtown’s natural resources, promote sustainability efforts and support a green scholarship for a Newtown High School student, according to organizers.
Admission is open to the public.
