Grammy Winner, 10 Bands Coming To Fairfield Hills Festival In Newtown Next Weekend (patch.com) — Newtown residents can look forward to the Fairfield Hills Music Festival returning this Saturday with ten bands, food trucks, and a beer and wine garden on the Fairfield Hills campus. Grammy-winning singer Aaron Neville will host a meet-and-greet and book signing, while hometown favorites The Flagpole Radio Band join a full lineup headlined by Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds. Proceeds will support Kevin’s Community Center and its local wellness and workforce programs.
2. Trumbull Man Charged In Connection With Newtown Silver Alert Case: Police (patch.com) — Newtown police report that a Trumbull man connected to a recent Silver Alert case has surrendered on an active arrest warrant after a 17-month-old child was safely returned to her mother. The case, which involved alleged violations of a temporary child custody order, led local officers to coordinate with state and federal partners and rely on community tips before the Silver Alert was canceled. The man now faces custodial interference and interfering with police charges.
