NEWTOWN, CT — A Southbury man is facing a sexual assault charge after turning himself in to Newtown police on an active arrest warrant.
The man surrendered at the Newtown Police Department on Aug. 2 in connection with an April 26 incident on Church Hill Road in Sandy Hook, according to police.
He was charged with fourth-degree sexual assault and disorderly conduct. Police said he posted the required 7% of a $1,000 bond and was released pending an Aug. 13 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.
