NEWTOWN, CT — A serious motor vehicle crash has closed roads in Newtown Friday afternoon as police investigate.
Newtown police said Main Street and Currituck Road are closed for the emergency response and investigation.
Drivers are being asked to seek alternate routes and stay clear of the area to allow first responders and investigators to work safely.
Police are also asking anyone who witnessed the crash to contact the Newtown Police Department at 203-426-5841.
No additional information about the crash, including the number of vehicles involved or the extent of any injuries, was immediately released.
