This year's festival features dozens of artisans along with live music, dance and theater performances, hands-on art activities, demonstrations and food vendors. The grounds will also include a beer and wine garden, which opens at noon Saturday and Sunday.

Organizers released a festival map ahead of the weekend showing the artisan and vendor area, food court, music and dance stages, activity tents, beer and wine garden, entrances and parking areas.

Saturday's activities include bracelet making, suncatchers, art demonstrations and dance performances from groups including the Newtown Senior Center Line Dancers, Graceful Planet and Lathrop School of Dance. Sunday will feature additional activities and performances throughout the day.

Daytime admission is $5 for anyone age 6 and older, while children 5 and younger get in free. Friday night's concert costs $15. Dogs are not permitted at the festival.

The festival is presented by the Newtown Cultural Arts Commission, with proceeds supporting Newtown scholarships and grants.
