Shop Local at Annual Fall Fair in Newtown

Christ the King Church in Newtown, CT will again be holding it's annual Fall Fair, held Saturday, November 7 from 9:00 - 3:00 with free admission. Early bird entry is at 8:00am, and costs $5 per person, to secure the first choice of tag sale finds and vendor items.

The fair features 40 indoor vendor tables, with more vendors outside, selling handmade crafts, jewelry, vintage, hand poured candles, natural skincare/cosmetics, authors and much more. Appealing to the younger set, hand crafted plushies, toy and game vendors will also be present. New this year will be vendors custom printing shirts, magnets, keychains and tote bags while you wait!

A part of every Fall Fair, the Church has it's own huge $1 tag sale, featuring thousands of items all for just $1 in every category--home goods, baby and kids items, games, toys, puzzles, collectibles, small appliances, tools, craft materials, holiday items, books (4/$1!), DVDs, tools, electronics, pet items and more. There will be a select number of items priced at $5. There is even a room full of clothing for $1 a piece, much new with tags still on, in men's, women's in every size from newborn to plus. Included are jewelry, shoes, accessories, coats and purses. From 2:00 - 3:00, all $1 items will be 2/$1 (must enter at 2:00 for this deal, no pre-hoarding, please!), and at 3:30, all remaining items will be placed outside and given away for free.

To round out the day, live music will be played, breakfast and lunch items will be cooked fresh to order, there is a silent auction and a bake sale. It promises to be a fun day out and a wonderful way to support local businesses while starting your holiday shopping.
