NEWTOWN, CT — Edmond Town Hall carries Newtown's Columbus Day weekend almost single-handedly, with a different kind of night out from Thursday through Sunday, Oct. 8-11: Gordon Lightfoot's longtime bandmates, a talk by Amanda Knox, a costume-friendly "Rocky Horror Picture Show" and a free Sunday movie.

- Pearl Productions Presents: The Lightfoot Band — Thursday, Oct. 8, 7 p.m.; doors at 6 p.m. Rick Haynes, Barry Keane, Mike Heffernan and Bill Bell, who played with Gordon Lightfoot, join vocalist Andy Mauck for Lightfoot classics and deeper cuts, with fans invited to meet the musicians afterward; beer, wine and concessions are sold.
