NEWTOWN, CT — Ice cream lovers have just a few days left to visit Ferris Acres Creamery before the popular Newtown destination closes for the season.
The creamery announced it will close for the 2026 season on Friday, Oct. 30, at 8 p.m., but not before celebrating Halloween with free ice cream and treats.
Customers who arrive in full costume on the final day will receive a free single-scoop ice cream cone, according to the business.
Children ages 14 and younger will also receive a free goody bag while supplies last.
Ferris Acres employees will join the festivities, dressing in costumes from 3 to 8 p.m. on Friday.
"This is it - our last week of the season!" the creamery wrote in a Facebook announcement.
The Oct. 30 closure marks the end of the creamery's regular season. The business has not yet announced a reopening date for 2027.
