URGENT CARE OF CONNECTICUT TO OPEN SIXTH LOCATION IN JULY

Walk-in clinic will serve the communities of Newtown, Monroe

BROOKFIELD, CONN. –  The Executive Management team of Urgent Care of Connecticut announced the opening of their sixth location in Newtown today.  The new facility will be the company’s fourth in the Greater Danbury area.  Other Urgent Care of Connecticut clinics are conveniently located in Brookfield, Ridgefield, and Southbury as well as Glastonbury and Norwalk.  The company foresees rapid expansion over the next 12 to 18 months as the need for urgent care services continues to grow across the country.

“Based on the healthcare needs of the residents of Greater Danbury, specifically in Newtown, we have chosen to open a new clinic,” said Dr. R. Robert Rohatch, MD, FACEP, chief executive officer and a founding member of Zucyla Enterprises, the parent company of Urgent Care of Connecticut.  “Sandy Hook residents currently take advantage of our Southbury clinic, which is less than a ten minute drive, but we wanted to make it more convenient for the rest of Newtown.  We will also be easily accessible to those living and working in Monroe.  We look forward to serving both communities.”

“We are very pleased to learn that Urgent Care of Connecticut will be opening here in Newtown,” said Elizabeth Stocker, AICP, director of economic and community development for the town of Newtown.  “It’s a great fit for our community since it’s a service we don’t currently have.  This will be very good for our residents.”

The new facility, located in Plaza South at 226 South Main Street, is scheduled to open its doors in July.  Urgent Care of Connecticut clinics are the only physician-owned, independently operated urgent care facilities in this part of Connecticut.  It is the mission and vision of Urgent Care of Connecticut to deliver the ultimate in quality healthcare to patients as the premier provider of outstanding urgent care medicine services in the northeast United States.
