Anyone Missing a Newtown Class Ring From 1981?

A class ring has traveled from Newtown to Newington to Texas, and its current owner wishes to return it with someone with the initials EET.

A woman in Texas is on a mission to reunite a Newtown class ring with its rightful owner.

Heather Lambeth said she found the high school ring when she lived in Newington, Conn.

“Thinking it was a Newington High School ring, same stone color same mascot, I tried to locate its owner. It wasn’t until I showed it to my daughter recently that we saw it was a Newtown ring class of 1981 with the initials “EET” inscribed inside,” Lambeth wrote.

Back in 1981 Newtown High School was known as the “Newtown Indians.” The ring is gold with the Indian mascot on the side and a blue stone on top. Lambeth tried to contact the school but didn’t recieve a call back.

“I really would like to finally return it to it’s owner,” Lambeth wrote, continuing, “I have been searching on Balfour’s site where people can post lost and found rings but have not received any replies.”

She also called the ring company to see if they could look up the owner by cross referencing the number stamped on the inside of the ring, but was told their records don’t go that far back.

If you know a Newtown high School alumnus from the Class of 1981 with the initials “EET,” please email wendy.mitchell@patch.com and we will connect you with Ms. Lambeth.
