Aquarion Water Main Work Will Affect Sandy Hook Roads Next Week

NEWTOWN, CT — Aquarion will begin a water main replacement project in some Sandy Hook neighborhoods next week.
The replacement of about 7,300 feet of water main is likely to cause periodic traffic disruptions. The work, scheduled between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., is expected to last through late fall.
Principal affected roads are Bankside Trail, Round Hill Road and Underhill Road. Other roadways involved include Alpine Drive, Cottonwood Trail, Cypress Trail, Engleside Terrace, Forest Drive, Locust Drive, and Shadblow Trail.
