Back To School: Newtown 2021-22 School Calendar

NEWTOWN, CT — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Newtown, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in the Newtown Public School District.

The first day of school for most students in Newtown is Aug. 30.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change as the coronavirus pandemic nears its year-and-a-half point. A mix of in-person, virtual and hybrid learning is still possible in Newtown.

Like last year, the COVID-19 policies could change any time before the first day.

Newtown Public School District

First Day: Aug. 30

Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 25-26 (early dismissal on the 24th)

Winter Break: Dec. 24-31 (early dismissal on the 23rd)

Spring Break: April 11-15

Last Day: June 9 (projected last day)
