Bands Gather to Celebrate Life of Newtown Musician

NEWTOWN, CT --- Local bands will gather to celebrate the life of Newtown musician Martin Van Buren Amidon IX, who died in a motorcycle accident last year.

Amidon was bassist for the Alpaca Gnomes, who will be joining the 2 Minute Minors and Breach the Asylum and other musicians on May 4 at the The Heights at Brother Vic's in South Salem, N.Y. for an 8 p.m. concert. Proceeds will benefit those that Amidon left behind, who include his wife Victoria (Hooten) Amidon and son Martin Van Buren Amidon X.
