Bethel Cafe Expands With New Location In Newtown

The cafe opened its second location on March 1, building on its original shop in Bethel.

NEWTOWN, CT — A Bethel coffee shop has expanded into Newtown with a second location that opened earlier this month.

Café Duo, founded by a Danbury-based couple, opened a new location on March 1 at 14 Church Hill Road in Newtown, according to social media posts.

The original location opened in November 2023 at 155 Greenwood Ave. in Bethel.

In a post announcing the opening, the business described the first day as “absolutely insane” and thanked customers for their support.

“We can’t thank everyone enough for all the love and support,” the cafe wrote on social media.

The Newtown location is open Tuesday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., according to the business.

The cafe’s owners have roots in Colombia and Guatemala, regions known for coffee production.
