Brookfield, Newtown, Bethel Republicans Back 107th District Incumbent

Delegates from Brookfield, Newtown and Bethel unanimously backed the incumbent Thursday night.

NEWTOWN, CT — State Rep. Martin Foncello won the Republican endorsement Thursday night for a third term representing Connecticut’s 107th House District, according to a campaign release.

Delegates from Brookfield, Newtown and Bethel unanimously endorsed Foncello during a district convention held May 21 at the Newtown Community Center, the release said.

Foncello, a Republican first elected in 2022, currently represents the 107th District, which includes parts of Brookfield, Bethel and Newtown.

During the 2025-26 legislative session, Foncello served on the Appropriations, Education and Government Administration & Elections committees, according to the release.

“I’m proud of what we have accomplished in Hartford but there is still much more to do,” Foncello said in the release. “I will keep fighting for seniors, children, taxpayers and veterans, and for public safety in our communities.”
