Continuing a Labor Day weekend tradition, nonperishables and dry goods will be collected at the Panacea & Friends Newtown Reunion for the Bridget Seaman FAITH Food Pantry Drive from 2:00- 6:00 at the Dickinson Park Pavilion during Panacea's free concert. Newtowner Bridget Seaman was asked to man the donation table at the first drive, and every year thereafter she made it a feature, donning costumes and taking photos of guests with her signature Flat Bridget paper doll. The drive was named in her honor upon her passing. Her spirit lives on through the generosity of the contributors. This year, cash may also be donated. A free drawing for a one-year subscription to The Newtown Bee newspaper will also be held.
