CT Ice Cream Shop Named Best In US In New Ranking

NEWTOWN, CT — A Newtown ice cream shop has been named the best in the country in a new national ranking.

Ferris Acres Creamery ranked No. 1 on a list of the top ice cream and gelato shops in the U.S., based on more than 100 million user ratings on the food app Beli.

The list, shared on social media, placed shops from across the country behind the Newtown creamery, including locations in California, New York and Massachusetts.

Ferris Acres Creamery has operated on a family-run farm in Newtown since 2003, offering a rotating selection of homemade ice cream flavors.

It will reopen for the 2026 season on May 5.
