Every time you turn around another Republican is challenging something the other party did, and every time they do, no one in the other party knew anything about it. The Attorney General didn’t know anything about “Fast and Furious!,” he didn’t know anything about the secret acquisition of AP phone records, or the confiscation of James Rosen’s emails. The President didn’t know anything about Benghazi, or the IRS targeting conservatives! He didn’t know anything about the Department of Justice’s confiscation of the Associated Press’ phone records. Hillary Clinton didn’t know anything about the request for help from our Benghazi. Embassy “ What does it matter!” and who knew Secretary Sebelius was soliciting funds from businessmen, regulated by her organization, to support Obamacare. Lois Lerner, after making an opening statement to a congressional committee indicating she did nothing wrong nor did she mislead congress, decided not to answer any congressional questions by invoking the Fifth Amendment. Now we find out that the IRS has been spending our money on more than 220 junkets over the last two years. Former IRS chief Douglas Shulman assured congress and the American people that no targeting was taking place and that the IRS was a non-partisan organization, while visiting the White House 156 times more than his predecessor. Perhaps they were preparing the IRS for taking over Obamacare. 16,000 new IRS employees going to the annual Easter Egg event. WOW, we are really going to need a tax increase just to supply the eggs. The President has indicated that his administration would be the most transparent ever. The Republicans keep pushing for answers on significant issues, in the spirit of ‘transparency’, but keep getting answers to questions never asked or answers that are in direct opposition to previously made statements. A reporter at the White House recently asked the president if anyone in the White House knew anything about the IRS scandal. The president’s answer was that he didn’t know anything about the problem until he read about it in a newspaper, which in and of itself is a problem, yet his legal counsel knew about it for weeks before. As President, shouldn’t he know what’s going on in the country? The job should entail significantly more than just fundraising, golf, and campaigning. If the President isn’t incompetent, then a majority of his subordinates are. So, why can’t those Damned Republicans realize that their understanding of the President’s job is not the same as his? Even though issues never seemed to get resolved, and are important to only a few in his administration, new issues keep coming up diverting both chambers from doing the job they were elected to do. Are you beginning to see the mess these Republicans are creating? Searching for the truth, to learn from our mistakes, has been described by this administration as a “sideshow.” David Axelrod, in defense of Obama, said the government is “too vast” for the president to know everything. Is not that why the President has highly experienced cabinet members: to keep him briefed on significant government issues. If the government is “too vast,” why do we continue to add thousands of government jobs and departments, increasing its size, apparently without any return on investment? Pundits indicate Obama is concentrating on the bigger picture, leaving everyday details to his subordinates. If these high level people did not know anything of the issues mentioned, then every employee under them, including those responsible for keeping the President informed should be terminated and never allowed to hold another government position. President Obama has little experience as an executive, which has become increasingly apparent. Promoting Susan Rice to national security advisor is his way of rewarding her for being a good puppet. This promotion is another example of political favoritism and management malfunction. Stating that Eric Holders is doing a fine job is political cronyism. He should resign or be terminated. Electing Obama to a second term only confirmed in his mind that he is doing what the people want. Nothing could be further from the truth or more politically disruptive and the polls are beginning to show that. These actions create the divide, which we are experiencing, all under the guise of “I didn’t know anything.” It is their responsibility to know and we should not settle for anything less. The actions of this administration indicate a seriously dysfunctional management system and a culture of contempt for the rule of law and individual rights. The American people are rapidly losing confidence in his management ability. A recent Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll indicated that 55 percent of those polled said targeting of conservatives raised doubts about the broader honesty and integrity of his administration. So why do those Damned Republicans continue to raise questions about this administration’s policies and actions when Obama’s staunch supporters simply dismiss the Republican challenges as gaming in preparation for the 2014 congressional elections. If our checks and balances are working then how do we account for this array of mismanagement? Is partisanship so strong that we cannot recognize failure when we see it? Has our value system deteriorated so much that we can accept such inappropriate behavior? Please keep in mind that we all want our presidents to succeed, regardless of ethnicity, religion, color, or political ideology, as long as they identify the major issues, prioritize those issues, and propose solutions to the benefit of all Americans. This is true for all political parties. By nominating three very liberal justices for the pivotal D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals, where the constitutionality of many presidential actions is determined, the President is forcing the Republicans into blocking those appointments, making the GOP appear as obstructionists, while distracting attention from all the other scandals. It is wrong to load any court with a predominance of one party. Balance is the key to success. However, we are enthralled in a political dilemma, which is forcing each side to strongly defend their positions regardless of facts. The Democrats have adopted the President’s agenda and are vigorously defending it. Those Damned Republicans are pointing out that which they do not agree. Whenever there is a problem that requires facts from this administration, the Republicans are creating a “sideshow.” Democrats continue to reduce the Republican’s desire to get at the facts by recommending they get over the blame game. This has to be great news for George W. Bush, because he is constantly being blamed for this economy’s failure, the unemployment rate, his administration’s spending and, of course, the two wars. Obama campaigned on fixing those problems. If you take the time to review his campaign statements and compare them to today’s statements, you will see a great deal of hypocrisy. Even after five years of the current administration, two years of which the President had full control of both houses, we have more people are on food stamps than ever before, more people out of work, unemployment still over 7.5%, the national debt passing $16.8 trillion dollars and the growth of our Gross Domestic Product remains abysmal. BUT, we have an Affordable Care Act that will cost you and me a fortune. It was estimated to cost us about $900 Billion, when proposed, and now that estimate has skyrocketed to over $2.6 Trillion. The Democrats are calling it a “train wreck.” So where did those Damned Republicans go wrong?
