Driver Accused Of DUI, Driving Without License In Newtown: Police
Police said officers stopped the vehicle after a report of erratic driving.
NEWTOWN, CT — A 41-year-old man is accused of driving under the influence and operating a vehicle without a license following a traffic stop in Newtown, according to police.
Newtown police said officers responded May 14 to the area of South Main Street and Park Lane after receiving a report of an erratic driver who could not maintain a lane.
Police said officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.

Following an investigation, the man was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, failure to maintain a lane and operating a motor vehicle without a license.
According to police, he was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear May 26 in Danbury Superior Court.
