Dunkin' Donuts Drive-Thru Proposal Denied In Newtown
The coffee and doughnut shop drive-thru was proposed to occupy a Mobil gas station convenience store on Route 6.

NEWTOWN, CT — An application for a Dunkin' drive-thru at a Mobil gas station convenience store in Newtown was denied by the Planning and Zoning Commission this month, reported the News-Times.
The coffee and doughnut shop drive-thru would have been located next to the Blue Colony Diner, and could have led to more service stations in the Interstate 84 Exit 10 corridor seeking similar uses.
Newtown only has a couple of drive-thrus, largely to keep the community's small town aesthetic, and to avoid traffic congestion.
