Cyber Safety Training Presentation at Newtown Middle

A training seminar on cyber safety will be held 7-8:30pm Monday, May 24, at the Newtown Middle School auditorium. The meeting is offered by EDUCATION CONNECTION and the Northwest Connecticut Regional After School Network. This training is appropriate for staff, parents and students in third grade or higher.

The presentation will be led by Sr. Assistant State Attorney Richard J. Colangelo, who will include tools and strategies for addressing children's use of popular social networking sites such as facebook, Twitter and MySpace. Other topics will include cyber-bullying, online predators, "sexting" and 24/7 cell phones.
