FREE Senior Walking/Fitness Program

The NYA Fitness Center is pleased to offer this FREE community fitness program specifically for Seniors. The program will provide a safe, fun, motivating and informative environment specifically for seniors to improve their levels of fitness.


Led by highly qualified NYA Fitness Center staff, the program will incorporate walking sessions with bodyweight and fitness band exercises utilizing the beautiful Fairfield Hills Campus and within the NYA Fitness Center. It will address balance, flexibility, aerobic & strength training as well as basic nutrition to help increase energy, coordination and overall strength.


The program runs Mon, Wed, Friday from 12:00-1:00pm from October 15th - November 2nd.

Register by October 11th to reserve your spot. Program is limited to 40 participants on a first-come-first-served basis. Registration opens October 1st online through Newtown Parks & Rec. Activity #108201.


* A waiver must be filled out prior to participation and doctor's clearance provided if necessary.
