John Morello Parent Presentation on Bullying & Personal Choices

The Newtown Prevention Council and Parent Connection are presenting an evening with John Morello on April 11 at 7:00 pm in the Newtown High School Cafetorium. Earlier in the day, Mr. Morello will be presenting to the eighth grade and sophomore classes.
The show, entitled "Dirt", is one of the most popular theatrical shows for young people. "Through his raucous character study drawn from personal pain, actor and comedian John Morello gives voice to those who feel unheard and gives hope to those who feel isolated that they are not alone." Touching on issues such as drugs, bullying, and personal choices, the presentation has garnered high praise as "a new weapon in the war against bad choices: laughter. Gloriously irreverent laughter." (The New York Times). Although the daytime student presentations are closed to the public, community, parents and students are encouraged to come to the FREE evening presentation. The presentation will be appropriate for middle school through adult audiences. For further information, please contact Judy Blanchard (blanchardj@newtown.k12.ct.us or 203 426-2798).
