Learning Disabilites of CT Fall Training Seminar Series

The Learning Disabilities Association of Connecticut (LDA of CT) is holding a 4-part evening seminar in Fairfield County. Held from 7 - 9 pm at the CH Booth Library in Newtown, this seminar series, "What You Need to Know about Special Education",  will feature leading experts in the areas of Speech and Language Impairments, Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADD/ADHD, and Pycho-Educational evaluations.  

This series is designed for both parents and professionals.  The goal of these seminars is to educate its participants, and empower them to become active and knowledgable members in the education process.

Oct. 4 Speech/Language Impairment and Language Disabilities

Presenter: Jonathan Preston, PhD, CCC-SLP; Research Scientist, Haskins Laboratories; Assistant Professor, Southern Connecticut State University

Oct. 13 Autism Spectrum Disorders

Presenter: Sara Reed, Esq; Executive Director, Autism Society of CT (ASCONN)

Oct. 27 ADHD- The modulation of a attention and impulse control

Presenter: David Lovejoy, PsyD, Neuropsychologist, Hartford Hospital; Assistant Professor, University of Connecticut School of Medicine

Nov.3 Psycho-Educational Evaluations

Presenter: Elizabeth Wolfe, PsyD; Private practice

FEES: $100 for LDA of CT members attending all 4 seminars; $150 for non-members attending all 4 seminars. We offer individual seminars for $30 for Members and $40 for Non-Members.REGISTRATION: You may register online via PayPal or call the LDA of CT office.
