There has been a dramatic increase in reported Lyme disease cases throughout Connecticut and across the entire country over the last several years. It is also perhaps the single most controversial infectious disease, with many healthcare practitioners not well informed about current peer-review research findings and skeptical about even the existence of chronic Lyme disease.
