The March 23rd Sandy Hook Run for the Families is being relocated to Hartford following overwhelming support and participant registration.
Capacity has been reached in Danbury, and this move to the Capital City will allow us to welcome all who wish to participate.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Registered runners may change to virtual runner registration or request a full refund by clicking here. 100% of registration fees will go to the Sandy Hook School Support Fund. Deadline for requesting a change or refund is February 15, 2013.

The SANDY HOOK RUN FOR THE FAMILIES is not about running. It is about life: honoring the memory of precious lives lost through tragedy and celebrating the gift of life. It is about uniting in hope for the future.
This is an event for the whole family starting with a Kids Fun Run for ages 2 – 11. After all kids have finished, the 5K starts. So, families who want to run both the Kids Run and the 5K will have that opportunity. The 5K is open to runners and walkers of all abilities.
The post-race activities will include activities for children, refreshments for all and a special tribute to all First Responders.
The Sandy Hook Run for the Families is a very special event which we hope you will be a part of, whether in person or as a “Virtual Runner.”
